Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Application

Dear Federations and Charities:

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) charity online application system is now open to accept applications for the 2018 CFC campaign.  Please go to https://cfccharities.opm.gov to submit your application.   The application deadline is January 31, 2018 

It is important to note:

  1. All organizations must apply each year whether they are required to provide a full application or a verification application;
  2. All organizations must pay the application fee at the time of submission of an application whether they provide a full application or verification application;
  3. Providing a verification application does not mean that your organization has been automatically approved for participation in that campaign; and
  4. All approved organizations must pay the listing fee to be included on the CFC Charity List. Listing fees are due prior to the start of the Fall campaign. OPM will notify approved charities of the listing fee deadline in the summer. The 2018 CFC Schedule of Application and Listing Fees is attached to this email.

New Changes Starting with the 2018 CFC Campaign:
OPM is no longer conducting courtesy completeness reviews of applications. Charities are encouraged to utilize the Completeness Review Checklist to ensure that the application meets  CFC eligibility requirements. Do not submit the checklist to OPM. Attached to this email are Completeness Review Checklists for Independent and Member Organizations, Federations and FSYA/FSYP/MWR organizations. The checklists will also be available via the online Charity Application.

CFC Application Training
OPM is offering two live training sessions for the 2018 CFC Application:

Training for Independent and Member Organizations
Wednesday, December 13, 2017; 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (ET)

Training for Federations
Friday, December 15, 2017; 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (ET)
A federation has at least 15 or more member organizations, in addition to the federation itself, submitting a CFC application and fees. If you are not submitting 15 member applications with your CFC application, you should register for the training for Independent and Member organizations.

Participants may attend the session in-person at our Washington, DC office or view remotely via webcast. You may register for a training session via this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Registrationfor2018CFCApplicationTraining. Prior to the training, registered participants will receive instruction on how to access the training in person or via webcast. The deadline to register is two days prior to the selected session.

In addition, CFC application training videos will also be posted on OPM’s website.
