Community Campaign

What is the Community Campaign?

Each year, local businesses in Bay, Calhoun, Holmes, Gulf, Jackson, and Washington counties participate in a workplace campaign between the months of September through December. During the workplace campaign, employees are asked to donate to their charity of choice through payroll deduction.

Why Run a Workplace Campaign?

Running a United Way Campaign is a traditional way hundreds of businesses help support their community. Providing employees with meaningful opportunities to give back to the community is a benefit for any corporate culture. United Way’s annual workplace campaign is about bringing people together to tackle our community’s most difficult issues because no one person or organization can do it alone. Whether you’re a small business, major corporation, or even a nonprofit, you can join the hundreds of local businesses and organizations that run workplace campaigns each year.

Our goal is to help people become more healthy, self-sufficient, and involved in helping themselves and each other. Like your business, United Way of Northwest Florida is about partnerships, setting goals, efficiency, and accountability. Workplace campaigns give organizations and their employees the opportunity to learn about our community’s needs and give them a convenient opportunity to get involved. We partner with a wide variety of businesses in many different industries. Every workplace campaign is different and can be shaped around your organization’s culture. Most campaigns are easily set up so that employees can contribute through payroll deduction. Many companies double their impact by matching their employees’ giving dollar for dollar.
